Wedding: Hamish & Jessie Riley – Saturday 26th February 2016

I absolutely loved shooting this wedding! I grew up with Jessie during my teenage years and created many memories with her growing up, we were even in a pop rock band together. Where does the time go!?

Leading up to this wedding I was having the busiest week of the year and had to call in my mate Nate Ramsey to help out with pre-planning and being my second on the day. It was so much fun working with this guy (check out his work)! Hamish and Jessie had so much patience with us, they did well to tolerate two creatives bouncing ideas around them and squawking every other moment with excitement when something worked wonderfully!

The ceremony was held at Greyfriars Church in Epsom & the Reception was held at Gracehill – recommend both these places!

I love taking photos for people I know! I grew up playing basketball at the local YMCA with this amazing family. Their dad (Mike) was the Manager of the Y, their mum (Helen) was my coach, and I used to hit the courts with the 3 siblings (Kate, Anna & Matt).

I was so thrilled when Helen called me and booked in a shoot before the eldest (Kate) left the country a week later.

We found a cute small park in Northcote where the locals like to play golf on the open strip. I felt like we had to dodge a few… “FOUR”…

The whole shoot was just fabulous! Honestly, if you’re planning a family shoot – now is the time to do it. The autumn colours and sunset light just made this whole shoot so warm and snuggly. Top this off with beautiful family dynamics, giggles and mucking around – everything was just on point!

I’m so glad they got some images taken before some of the family went away on their own adventures. I can’t wait to see these on their wall!
